About Us

Whether you’re brand new to the game or have been playing for years, there’s a place for you at the table.

The Kearney Area Table Tennis Club (KATTC) exists to promote table tennis as a fun, inclusive, and accessible recreational sport for people of all ages and skill levels in the Kearney area.

We are committed to building a welcoming community where beginners feel comfortable learning the game, experienced players can continue to improve, and everyone has the opportunity to stay active, connect with others, and enjoy healthy competition. Through good sportsmanship, personal growth, and community engagement, we aim to provide a consistent, organized space for people to play and learn table tennis.

Our Story

The Kearney Area Table Tennis Club was started with a simple idea: bring people together around a sport that is easy to learn, fun to play, and accessible to almost anyone.

What began as a personal passion for table tennis quickly turned into a community need. While Kearney offers many great recreational opportunities, there was no consistent, organized place for people to gather and play table tennis. Recognizing this gap, the club was created to provide a welcoming space where players of all ages and skill levels could show up, grab a paddle, and enjoy the game.

From the beginning, KATTC has been built intentionally and thoughtfully—securing proper equipment, establishing a leadership team, partnering with local organizations, and prioritizing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. The goal was never just to set up tables, but to create a sustainable club that could grow alongside the community.

At its core, KATTC is about more than table tennis. It’s about connection, consistency, and community. It’s about giving beginners a place to learn without pressure, giving experienced players a place to sharpen their skills, and giving everyone a reason to come together, stay active, and have fun.

As the club continues to grow, our story is still being written—one rally, one match, and one new player at a time.
